In this Scattered guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great song off of David Gilmour’s Luck and Strange album note-for-note.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

This lesson video is basically in two parts. For most of the first half of the video I will be using an acoustic guitar to show you how to play all of the chords for the song. This arrangement is combining all of the harmony that you are hearing on the record being played by not only the band, but the full orchestra. I have tried to recreate that harmonic landscape on just one acoustic guitar.

When an actual guitar is played on the recording during the verse section, you will learn that as well.

We will cover all of the parts of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording, including the orchestral interlude.

After all of that, we finally make it to David’s amazing guitar solos.

The first solo work you hear is on acoustic and I will take you through it note-for-note.

From there, I will grab my strat and we will take an in-depth look at David’s amazing electric guitar solo. Many fans, myself included, think this solo is one of the best he has ever recorded. You will learn every single note of it here. 🙂

I hope you guys enjoy learning this masterpiece by David Gilmour! Carl…
