In this Silvera guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this killer song off of Gojira’s Magma album note-for-note.

The tuning is D standard tuning. That means that every string will be tuned down a whole-step from regular standard tuning. That will end up being, starting from the 6th string, D G C F A D.

The opening riff is simply crushing and is heard through the verse sections of the song as well.

I will take you through each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording.

Guitarists Joe Duplantier and Christian Andreu play many of the riffs the same, however, there are instances when Christian kicks in a whammy pedal to take his part up an octave. This is what you are hearing during the tapped chorus riff.

During the solo section, Christian plays the rhythm guitar part and Joe plays a very cool pick-tap based solo. All of it will be covered in detail in the video lesson.
