It can be difficult giving general advice about buying guitars as everyone’s needs are so different, which means there is no one piece of advice that would apply to everyone, having said that one thing that can be said, is that playability and sound are probably the two most important factors, when purchasing an instrument.

As mentioned in the video, a nice guitar can be had for a very reasonable price these days, unlike 20/30 years back when things were very different, many of my first guitars were not the most enjoyable to play.
