In this Maggie May guitar lesson video, I will show how to play all of the chords to this Rod Stewart classic in addition to learning Ronnie Wood’s two guitar solos note-for-note!

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

For the rhythm guitar sections, I will be using a 12-string acoustic guitar like was used on the original recording. However, if you don’t have a 12-string it will still sound fine on a 6 string guitar.

I will cover each section in the order that they appear on the original recording. This will include an “arrangement” of the mandolin section towards the end of the song.

I will also be grabbing my strat and demonstrating Ronnie Wood’s instantly recognizable guitar solos.
