I like this particular idea for a couple of different reasons…
1 – The interesting rhythmic variety – don’t overlook this as it’s a huge part of the sound
2 – It starts on the 5th string root which is fine for the key of A, but almost an essential for D or E
3 – The bend at the end is one a lot of people don’t realize is an option in box 4.
Take your time and learn it, it’s not too difficult and should be easy once you can count it and have it memorized (and get the bend worked out 🙂
