In this I Want You (She’s So Heavy) guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this amazing song off of The Beatles’ Abbey Road album in its entirety.

There are two different tunings used in this song. There is John Lennon’s guitar part that is in standard tuning. This makes up a majority of the song. At the very end of the song another guitar comes in playing a riff that requires dropped D tuning. Dropped D tuning requires you to take the 6th string (E), and tune it down one whole-step to D giving you DADGBE. However, you can get away with playing most of the song in standard tuning.

I will cover each section in the order that each appears on the original recording. There are some very cool parts to learn here, my favorite being the main arpeggio picked chord sequence.
